This is what the garden looks like in July 2006.

I redid the large flower bed, moving the ground cover out from under the tree where it never grew well. I alternated the green-leafy groundcovers with lamb's ear. The lamb's ear is threatening to take over more of the bed, so I have to pull it constantly.
I also made a brick-enclosed bed in front of the kitchen. It extends around the side of the house to include the hose cart and water spicket.
